A Swimming Pool and Spa
A swimming pool and spa will liven any yard. If you are looking for a
great way to relax as well as get exercise in your own backyard and are
considering a pool, Why not look at the options of having a swimming pool
and spa. A spa can help you wind down and relax your muscles after a hard
day at the office.
Some swimming, a little soaking and then more swimming can offer you a means
of washing away stress like few other methods can and if you are having the
contractors in to build you a pool they may as well install both a swimming
pool and spa. In most cases it will work out cheaper having both installed
at the same time compared to having the contractors return at a later date
to install one or the other.
The spa can sit close to the swimming pool, even on the main decking to make
it close and convenient. The number of people you anticipate would be using
the spa at any one time will determine the size of spa you want but remember
that young children should always be discouraged from using a swimming pool
and spa without suitable adult supervision.
Chemical For a Spa
Most of the chemicals used in a swimming pool and spa are the same. Test
kits are essentially the same in helping determine how much of which
chemical to add so the additional cost of chemicals for a spa will not be
that significant because you are buying them for your pool anyway. The
biggest advantage to cost you will see is if you use the spa all year long
but close the pool during the winter saving on heating.
Running Costs
One method of cutting the costs when installing a swimming pool and spa is
the sun. Solar heaters are available for swimming pools and solar can also
operate the pumps on your spa as well as those on your pool filter and
heater. If it is set up correctly, once you pay for the installation of your
swimming pool and spa, you could be operating for next to nothing apart from
the various chemicals required.
The only problem with solar power for swimming pools may be if you live in
an area with limited sunshine. The solar heaters for a swimming pool and spa
require cells to be in direct sunlight throughout the day to warm the water.
During the evening and on days that are especially cloudy, the water in your
pool may not be as warm as you might like.
